Participation Guidelines
Just because this is a free site where almost anything goes doesn’t mean that we don’t need to have a few rules in place…. Can’t go scaring everyone, now can we?
So, here it goes, The Pink Chair Diaries guidelines for participation:
1. You DO NOT have to be a published author! Are you an aspiring author looking to “get your name out there”? Do you have your first book being published within the next few months and want to get the buzz going now? Are you a multipublished author who wants to give something to your fans that’s a bit different than your other works? The Pink Chair Diaries is the place for you! Three out of the four founders of PCD are unpublished aspiring erotic romance authors. If we can do it… So can you!
2. You DO have to use The Pink Chair in your story in some way, shape, or form. This is non-negotiable folks, the site is called The Pink Chair Diaries for a reason.
ETA: We’ve had a great response with stories involving the chair, but are now happy to open submissions to all kinky, sexy, hot stories you’ve got for us. They will be designated as “Beyond the Chair” when published on the site. That way, everyone’s happy!
3. We’d like each story to be at least a few thousand words. Can you get your story told in less? Great! We here at PCD feel that around 5,000 words gives readers a fun story without sacrificing character development and plot.
4. This is the NO list. If your story contains aspects of the following, don’t bother contacting us. The “ick” factor would just be too high:
NO Pedophelia
NO Beastiality
NO Rape portrayed in an arousing manner
NO Bodily functions (ie. Scat Play, Golden Showers)
NO Necrophelia (We do not consider two zombies “getting it on” necrophelia, nor do we feel Vamp sex applies)
NO Knives or sharp objects inserted into a female characters pink bits or a male characters back door
As far as rule number four is concerned, we’re working on the honor system folks. The Administrators will not be reading your work prior to posting so if you post something that violates the “NO” list, your story will be removed. Your work will be banned and you will be banned from posting here.
See, that wasn’t too bad, now was it?
Now, if you feel you’ve got something to contribute to the site please use the contact us page to send us an email. We’ll set you up with your own login and about page. Your web addy will also be added to the sidebar of the site.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Happy Writing!
